Comfort Zones

I was having lunch with my colleagues yesterday and we had this conversation about how some people always seems to be miserable, to attract misery. So, the theory then is that for these people, being miserable is a comfort zone in itself - that they seek to not be happy - that they like not being happy - that they are so used to being not happy that they get comfortable there and stay there. How terrible.
